The Gulf Coast Women’s Golf Association has adopted a Code of Conduct which applies to all members of the association. A player which engages in conduct detrimental to the integrity and image of the game of golf or image of the league, may be removed from any competition at the discretion of the Gulf Coast Rules Committee and the President at any time before or during the competition. Such conduct may include, but is not limited to:
Disorderly behavior, including:
- Excessive use of profanity
- Club throwing
- Willful damage of the golf course or disregard of golf course policy
- Potential endangerment and/or distraction of others
- Public criticism of golf course, or verbal abuse of Gulf Coast members, the host club staff or their employees
Failure to care for the course, including, but no limited to:
- Fill or step down on divots (reasonable effort to repair/fill divots)
- Repair ball marks
- Rake bunkers
- Follow cart rules
Failure to abide by the league rules and/or host club rules.
- Demonstrate fair play both on and off the course
- League Pace of Play Policy must be followed. If the foursome falls behind the group in front of them, they must split into twosomes until back in position.
- Turn off, or silence mobile phones on the golf course, unless using Golf Genius.
- Participate in entering hole-by-hole scores in Golf Genius and on scorecard.
Dress Code violations
No smoking is permitted during the round. Post round follow the rules of the club.
Penalties for violation of the Code of Conduct:
Penalties may be assessed based on each individual situation including the severity of the breach and the factors that contributed to the breach. All discussion of penalties will be between the player’s Team Representation, Rule Committee and President. Possible penalties:
- Warning
- One Event Suspension from the League
- Suspension from the League for One Season
